What Is a Sound Bath?
A sound bath is a therapeutic, meditative experience designed to support deep rest, reflection and nervous-system regulation. A standard session lasts around 60 minutes and takes place in a calm, supportive environment. Participants lie comfortably on yoga mats—often with blankets or eye pillows—allowing the body to fully relax.
The session often begins with a gentle guided meditation to help you settle into your body, quiet the mind, and open to the sound journey. From there, you are immersed in layers of sound and vibration created by a variety of instruments, including crystal singing bowls, Himalayan steel bowls, tuning forks, chimes, and the healing use of the human voice.
As the sound frequencies move through the body, they help calm the nervous system, reduce stress, and promote a deep sense of relaxation. Because the body is made up of around 70% water, these vibrations can be felt on a subtle physical level, supporting circulation, balance, and overall well-being. Many people describe the experience as feeling “held,” dreamlike, or timeless.
No prior experience with meditation or sound healing is needed. Each session is unique, and responses vary—from emotional release and increased clarity to drifting into a meditative or semi-sleep state, or simply experiencing profound peace and ease. Whether you’re seeking relaxation, emotional support, or a gentle meditative journey, this 60-minute sound bath offers a restorative space to reconnect with yourself through the transformative power of sound.
