💃🏽 QUEER Salsa & Bachata BIRTHDAY Social 2026! 💃🏽
✨ SALSA, BACHATA & MORE | LEAD & FOLLOW ✨
Happy birthday to us! To celebrate another year of our amazing community, we warmly welcome complete beginners, experienced dancers, and all of your friends and family to our biggest social of the year!
Join us for a vibrant evening of queer dance, connection, and empowerment - where everyone can shine on the dance floor 💖
🗓 Sat 28 March
🕢 6.00 - 10.00 pm
📍Studio 68, Southwark, London SE1 0NR
WHAT TO EXPECT:
A dance social is a space to try all the moves you've learned in class (and we always begin with a beginner-friendly class to keep those moves fresh in your mind). Imagine an open dancefloor, the best Salsa and Bachata rhythms, and the freedom to connect with our gorgeous community.
- Salsa & Bachata Classes
Our Complete Beginner and Beginner/Improver workshops will guide you through the essential steps and rhythms, ready to take to the dancefloor. We always rotate partners throughout, and teach everybody to both lead and follow. - Special Guest Workshop
In the past, we have offered popular one-off workshops in Cumbia, Merengue, and more. Watch this space for this year's special guest spot… 🥁🎶👀 - Social Dancing
After the workshops, enjoy 2 hours of social dancing where you can practice your new moves, switch between leading and following, and connect with our vibrant queer dance community. Our talented Sanura Dance teachers and guardian dancers will keep the energy high and the atmosphere welcoming
✨ ALL LEVELS WELCOME ✨
OUR VIBES & VALUES
At Sanura Dance, we centre and celebrate FLINTA, feminist, and LGBTQ+ communities, with a special and heartfelt welcome and support for trans women. Now more than ever, it’s vital that we stand united and stand together. We believe firmly that “there’s no LGB without the T” - trans women are an essential and treasured part of our community, and our space is committed to uplifting and empowering you.
In addition, everybody learns to lead and follow in all our workshops. We leave restrictive gender roles at the door so that everyone can participate as their full selves while learning and dancing.
This event is more than just dance - it’s about creating a safe, respectful, and empowering space for everyone. Safety and respect are collective responsibilities, and we ask all attendees to help maintain an environment where everyone can express themselves freely, joyfully, and without fear.
🌈 Everyone is welcome here - just come ready to dance, learn, and celebrate together in solidarity and pride!
