Craft & Community for Queer Writers
These monthly workshops offer a safe space for giving and receiving feedback on works-in-progress across any and all kinds of writing. We have script writers, poets, short story scribblers and memoirists among us.
- The group is queer and trans centring, but allies are welcome (zero tolerance for bigotry)
- Sessions include 3 bookable workshop slots of 20 minutes each, plus time for socialising and general supportive writing chitchat
- You can claim a feedback slot when booking (Admission + Feedback Slot ticket) or by messaging facilitator Rach using the ‘Contact Organiser’ button (availability allowing)
- If you claim a feedback slot, you'll be prompted to share your piece (max 2000 words) a few days ahead of the session so everyone attending can read and consider in advance
- During their slot, each submitter will read their piece (or an extract if it's longer than ~500 words), before receiving kudos, praise and encouraging and constructive feedback from the group. You'll have a chance to indicate if there's any specific kind of feedback you're looking for, and you can ask someone else to read your piece aloud on your behalf if you like
- Feel free to come along to offer feedback to others (General Admission ticket) to see how it works!
