This beginner-friendly Zen meditation taster is a short, grounded introduction for people who want to explore meditation in a calm, accessible way — no prior experience needed.

This session is suitable for:

complete beginners
people who’ve tried meditation before and found it difficult
anyone looking for a quiet reset in the middle of the day

What to expect

a brief introduction to meditation and how to practise it
simple guidance on posture and breathing
a short, guided meditation
a gentle sound journey to support settling and focus

There’s no pressure to “clear your mind” and nothing to get right.

Just a chance to pause, sit, and experience meditation in a supportive setting.

This is a seated meditation session; please wear comfortable clothing.
Arrive 5–10 minutes early to allow time to settle.
This session is not a substitute for medical or therapeutic treatment.
Chairs are provided. You’re welcome to bring a yoga mat, blanket, or meditation cushion if that helps you feel comfortable and warm.
Unavoidable late arrival: Your lateness becomes part of the practice of accepting what is, and responding with warmth. Please quietly come in, find a space, and follow along.
