Imagine this: a room full of people who care about theatre and dance and performance… and what it does to us, and for us. Plus the culturally curious ones — the people who come to art to understand the world, and to meet others along the way.
That’s basically People of Theatre.
If you’re new here, have a scroll on Instagram and you’ll get the vibe fast. And now it’s also a magazine (thanks to over 1,000 subscribers in just four months — honestly, you’re ridiculous in the best way). So we’re taking it off the page and into the room.
Conversations that started in long-form essays will carry on live. You’ll get to meet some of the columnists — and some of the artists featured in the creative section too. Not as distant names in print, but as actual people you can talk to.
This is the first in a new series of in-person gatherings: a direct line between art lovers and the artists shaping the work we keep talking about. Line-up for the first session dropping soon.
I genuinely can’t wait to see who walks into that room. I hope you’re one of them.
