Weeds and queer herbalism.
Join us in a multisensory herbal walk to explore the weeds of the Greenwich peninsula. We will delve into the intrinsic queerness that weeds hold, while also learning about how they can invite themselves into our homes for their medicinal properties. Through this conversation with our surroundings, we will use herbs as tools of experimentation and creativity in embodying queerness in ourselves and in our environment.
The session will involve a herb walk and a blind tea tasting.
FACILITATOR
Odhran (they/them) is a medical herbalist living between London and France. Their practice involves the practical application of herbalism within local communities, researching herbal trans health, and the curiosity of seeing the world from non-human perspectives.
They encourage the exploration of individuals’ subjective perspectives by involving all the senses, and by playing with the stories we learn and tell ourselves to make sense of the world.
