Queers, connection, coffee and conversation. Can you think of a better way to spend a Sunday?!
After our last brunch sold out (and brought us all the queer joy!), we're back at Joy Cafe in Tooting Bec for another Lesbian (FLINTA) Brunch Social.
Expect a cosy gathering of welcoming, friendly faces at a chilled, family-run venue serving freshly cooked brunch, salads, homemade cakes and bakes, and a great selection of teas and coffee. We love supporting small local businesses, and we especially love hosting a wholesome queer event in a daytime, alcohol-free space. Delicious.
We thin there aren't enough low-key, relaxed events outside of the usual pub and club scene, which is why this event is a little different. This is for the queers who'd rather connect over coffee and brunch, than cocktails and crowds. It's for the Sunday morning people, the "let's actually have a proper conversation" crew, and anyone who's ever wished for a queer space that feels genuinely comfortable and welcoming rather than performative or intimidating. Whether you're looking for new mates, potential dates, or just a lovely Sunday morning with fellow FLINTA queers, we've got you.
Since we began in 2023, our SW London events have been the catalyst for friendships, dates, hook-ups, partnerships, sports teams, craft groups, band-mates and more. There's something special about meeting people in daylight hours, in a relaxed setting where you can actually hear each other speak. Plus, Joy Cafe's food is genuinely fantastic, so you'll be well fed whilst making connections that could change your social life.
What to expect from this event:
- Inclusive, FLINTA+ focused – designed specifically to help queer (lesbian, intersex, non-binary, trans+ community) people connect. Allies are absolutely welcome too, providing inclusivity and safety remains a priority.
- A welcome drink is included – Joy Cafe serves entirely fresh food: brunch, lunch, salads, and incredible cakes, too. Dietary reqs catered for. Your ticket includes a (non-alc) hot or cold drink on arrival, then it's up to you when or if you'd like to order food on a PAYG basis. A chilled, see how you feel kinda set-up so there's no pressure, just see how you feel.
- Community-first pricing – because meeting amazing queer people shouldn't break the bank. Plus, Joy cafe is an affordable venue with brunch starting from £4.50 and coffee from £1.95!
- The best way to meet like-minded queers - Come solo or bring a friend/partner and leave feeling connected! FYI, the age range varies and everyone is welcome, but our events tend to attract folks 30s+.
- Limited availability – With only 30 tickets available, this is your chance to actually get to know people properly (not just shout over loud music!)
When: Sunday 26th April, 11am-3pm
Where: Joy Cafe, Tooting Bec, SW17
Tickets: £10 (which includes hot or cold drink on arrival. Food is optional on a PAYG basis).
⚠️ Only 30 tickets available this is very likey sell out so don't wait to get your ticket!
