Join us on 16th April from 7pm - 9:30pm for another evening of deep insight and critical discussion as we go Beyond The Headlines. We will examine the recent escalations in the ongoing crises caused by immigration policies of the US and the UK government, notably their fascists attitudes towards people they consider “illegal immigrants” and their inhumane treatments disguised as national security measures to “protect their country”.
This teach-in will feature Oscar Davis, Izzy Giogianni, with host Prince and other special guests
Together, we will uncover the historical and contemporary forces driving nationalism, including settler colonialism, imperialism, modern slavery, digital state surveillance, and their devastating impact on communities. Our speakers will dissect the root causes of these crises and explore the role of government propaganda and corporate power influence in sustaining violence and exploitation.
More importantly, this event will shine a light on the resilience of local movements and the tangible steps for peacebuilding, human rights, and systemic change. Through panel discussions and collective dialogue, we will explore how to engage in grassroots advocacy, international solidarity efforts, and initiatives aimed at justice and accountability.
This will be a powerful evening of education, reflection, and action. Join us in a space to learn, connect, and contribute to a more just and peaceful future.
