Creative workshops for web-thinkers, rabbit-holers and tangental queens (everyone welcome)! We’ll be practicing worldbuilding as a form of care and using a variety of materials to create landscapes for your stories to perform on.
Silva + Grace will be making a space for you:

SESSION ONE: STARTING YOUR IMAGINED WORLD (Wednesday 22nd April 2026 @ 7:00-8:30 PM)

+ Share your work and connect with other makers in the group
SESSION TWO: OBJECTS FROM YOUR WORLD (Wednesday 29th April 2026 @ 7:00-8:30 PM)
+ Creative prompts to get unstuck and tap into new ideas
+ Create imagined objects, flags and banners from your world with clay and textiles
+ Create stories connected to your objects and world
+ Share your work and connect with other makers in the group
SESSION THREE: COLLATING YOUR WORLD (Wednesday 6th May 2026 @ 7:00-8:30 PM)
+ Creative prompts to get unstuck and tap into new ideas
+ Discover zine and binding techniques to collate ideas and stories
+ Learn visual storytelling techniques
+ Share your work and connect with other makers in the group
We recommend coming to all three dates, but you can certainly drop into just one or two :)
Location:
On A Whim, 20 Cliff Terrace, Cliftonville, Margate CT9 1RU
Access:
The workshop space is accessible on the ground floor. There is a toilet inside.
We will be in a small group of six-nine people and have a 5 minute break in the middle of the session. We’ll play music, and use materials with varying textures (e.g fabrics, pens, pencils, polymer clay). We understand this isn’t accessible to everyone – please let us know if there’s anything we can do to better include you or adapt to your needs.
About the facilitators:
Grace (she/her/they) is a multi-disciplinary artist, creative producer and facilitator working across sound, visuals and text. Grace is inspired by the senses, learning from nature and co-designing processes in community.
Silva (they/them) is a visual artist, horticulturalist and holistic counsellor, whose work is informed by gardening, well-being, connections within community, and their own identity being mixed andean~quechua~british.
