Dialectics of Erasure: Settler Colonialism in Three Acts is a participatory lecture-performance by Palestinian-German artist-scholar Mudar Al-Khufash that invites you, the audience, to participate in unraveling the mechanism sustaining the everyday performance of settler colonialism.
This is an experiment.
The lecture-performance frames settler colonialism not as an event of the past, but an ongoing structure sustained through performative rules, routine, choreographed movements, and images that organize perception, behavior, and knowledge, structures in which we are all implicated.
Please note:
This performance contains references to state, colonial, and racial violence.
The work is participatory in nature and involves audience members taking on roles within the production. Full instructions and guidance will be provided. The performance will take place both inside the venue and in the surrounding streets. Participation is voluntary, and strongly encouraged so as to fully engage with the themes of the work. Members of the crew will be available at all times to support audience members and participants.
By purchasing a ticket, you consent to photography being taken for the purpose of documenting the project.
