It’s time to unleash your inner Kate Bush! We’re heading on a circular moorland hike from Haworth via Top Withens and the Brontë Falls.
The route is 12 km / 7.6 miles with around 775 ft of elevation, taking roughly 4 hours. Expect open moors and dramatic scenery. Enough to inspire a gothic novel or two!
Where to meet
- Main Street in Haworth, outside the Black Bull pub, at 10:35am
- We’ll start the hike at 10:45am
How to get there
If you’re taking public transport with some of our leaders
- Take the 9:26am train from Leeds to Keighley
- It’s then a 7 minute walk from the train to the bus station
- Then we’ll get the 10:05am Brontë bus to Haworth
- Once in Haworth we’ve got a 13 minute walk to Main Street
If you're driving
- It’s a circular route so we’ll be ending where we started - perfect for driving to one of Haworth’s car parks
- Feel free to arrange car shares in our WhatsApp chat!
About the hike
It might be muddy, so hiking boots are essential. Bring plenty of water and layers. Waterproofs are always a safe bet, whether or not it’s forecast to rain. 💧
Bring a packed lunch as we’ll stop somewhere scenic to eat along the route.
We aim to be back in Haworth by 3pm - where there’s the option to join for a post-hike drink at a pub, or have some time to wander around the village and cosplay being a Brontë. 💫
As always, newcomers are very welcome - it’s a friendly, relaxed group!
Waiting list
If you can no longer make it, please cancel your ticket via OutSavvy. We have a waiting list going - so make sure to join if you miss out on getting a spot. Places usually open up closer to the time.
We can’t wait to see you! 🌈
