Our picnics have been happening for 4 years now. They're consistently our biggest, most loved events - if you've been before, you already know why. If you haven't, picture a sunny afternoon on Clapham Common, a crowd of friendly queer faces, afrisbee, some card games, picnic snacks, drinks, and the kind of easy conversation that makes an afternoon disappear.
We're back at the Bandstand on Clapham Common on Saturday 13th June, for a 30s+ picnic, kicking off at 2pm and going on until the evening takes us wherever it takes us. Bring a blanket, bring snacks, bring drinks, bring a friend or come solo and you'll find your people quickly enough. It's that kind of event.
This is a proper picnic. No agenda, just a big, welcoming gathering of FLINTA queers doing what we do best: showing up, connecting, and having a genuinely good time.
What to expect:
- Games, food, drinks, chat – bring whatever you fancy. There's no wrong way to picnic!
- A well-established crowd – three years in, this event has a life of its own. Expect a brilliant mix of brand new faces, and previous picnic folx.
- 30s+ vibe – it's not a strict age limit, but more of a vibe. We are more housplants and chill, over jagerbombs and party. If this sounds like your kind of afternoon, you're so welcome.
- FLINTA-focused and inclusive – a safe, welcoming space for lesbian, queer, non-binary, trans+ folks. Allies welcome as always providing safer spaces are prioritised.
- Come solo, stay all afternoon - seriously, don't let coming alone put you off. It's one of the easiest events to walk into on your own as lots of others will also be solo!
- Free event - to encourage community and connection without the price tag!
When: Saturday 13th June, from 2pm (and on into the evening)
