Join us for our Baytna refugee-led supperclub series at Thingy cafe EVERY 2nd and 4th Friday monthly!

Menu for 14th of August - Iraqi Cuisine.

Kubbah Halab: crispy rice shells filled with seasoned minced lamb or (vegan soy mince), onions and traditional Iraqi spices. Served with homemade Iraqi amba and fresh herbs. (Sulphur Dioxide/Sulphites)
Timman Bagil: Fragrant Basmati rice cooked with broad beans, fresh dilll served with tender, slow-cooked spiced chicken (or spiced vegetables). Served with homemade Iraqi pickles (torshi), mint yogurt sauce and a fresh seasonal salad. (Dairy, Sulphur Dioxide/Sulphites)
Muhalabi: A silky Iraqi milk pudding delicately infused with rose water and cardamom, finished with crushed pistachios and dried rose petals.(Milk, Pistachios (Tree Nuts). Vegan option available.

Menu for 28 August Syrian cuisine

Beetroot & Orange Salad with carrots, raisins, walnuts, and feta, dressed with pomegranate molasses and olive oil. Allergens: Dairy, Nuts (Vegan option available)
Green Broad Bean Dip:* A vibrant blend of green broad beans, peppers, tahini, garlic, lemon, and pomegranate molasses.Allergens: Sesame
Kabab Karaz: Kofta Lamb Skewers dipped in sour cherry sauce, served with flatbread, onion and parsley salad, and topped with yogurt tahini sauce, nuts and pomegranate. Allergens: Gluten, Sesame, Milk, Nuts (Gluten free option and vegan (soy) options available)
Vegan Knafeh: Crispy knafeh pastry layered with pistachios and soaked in rose and orange blossom syrup.Allergens: Gluten, Nuts

Cuisines will rotate monthly amongst Syrian, Tajik, Iraqi, Palestinian, Iranian and Pakistani. Bringing you the best dinners made by amazing talented refugee chefs.

Each dinner depending on the cuisine, will have it's own music playing from that specific country so you can have an immersive cultural experience.

7:30 is Starter

8:00 is Main course

8:30 is Dessert

9:00 pm is Quick hello to the refugee team then Saudi DJ will play music.

Drinks can be purchased from the bar
Garden and cafe is open until 10 pm
You can come eat and go, or you can stick around, dance and socialise with the refugee chefs and guests or you can just chill and listen to their country's music!
