The Crypt Gallery & Make Poetry Weird Again presents HOLD SPACE POETRY FESTIVAL : From the depths
October 1-6th 2026
From the depths, we came together to make poetry.
Last Holy Week, sixteen poets held space in a crypt beneath London - for seven nights, they stayed, they listened, they made something together that had no name until it was over.
Now we are back again. To feel alive again. To prepare for the wisdom of winter.
HOLD SPACE POETRY FESTIVAL: From the depths returns this October, taking residence once more in The Crypt Gallery - for days and six nights as part of the Bloomsbury Festival's 20th anniversary celebrations.
Each day is its own event: a gathering rather than a show, a threshold rather than a performance. Expect poetry, silence, sound, and the particular aliveness that comes from being in a room where people are telling the truth.
Prompts provided daily.
Resident poets will be making and performing work everyday.
Workshops will be taking place in the space.
come make poems - come speak poems - come find poetry.
