Join us for a QueerSwap x Silly Little Craft Club collab for a cosy, low-pressure crafty social where we’ll be customising our own clothes together ✂️
The ticket includes 1 QueerSwap token, so you can grab a new piece from the QueerSwap rails, or you can bring along any clothes you want to transform and we’ll have a selection of tools and materials to help you make it your own. We bring all the hardware: studs, spikes, grommets, and enough safety pins to hold your life together.
Got a jacket, jeans, a top, or anything sitting in your wardrobe that feels a bit... meh? Don’t throw it out, and definitely don’t replace it with more mass-produced fast fashion garbage. Bring it to the club, and let's give it some actual attitude.
💥 the manifesto:
🧷 create more, consume less: give old gear a second life.
🧷 weaponise your wardrobe: add a bit of edge, softness, or a massive statement to pieces you’re bored of.
🧷 ditch the screen: put down the black rectangle of doom and feel human again by making things with your hands.
🪓 the anti-workshop philosophy
This isn’t a classroom and we are not your teachers. There is no right or wrong way to do this, no corporate gatekeeping, and absolutely no pressure to make something look "neat." Perfection is fake anyway.
We’ll be around to show you how to use the tools if you need a hand, but this night is entirely about experimenting, making a chaotic mess, failing, trying again, and seeing where it takes you.
🌈 the vibe & what to expect:
A cozy, screen-free evening in a room full of creative, queer, chaotic, hot people. You can spend the entire night obsessively hammering studs into a single denim collar, or just try out a few different techniques while chatting and making new friends you’ll actually have a chance to regularly see again!
✂️ about the silly little craft club:
We’re two friends Lara & Pat who love nothing more than sitting around the kitchen table, chatting, unwinding, and doing silly little crafts for our silly mental health. It has become a small but joyful ritual, and we’d love to share that connection with more people.
We crave doing things with our hands, experimenting new techniques, without the pressure of making things perfect. We want to create a space where we’re able to fail and try again, surrounded by people who value the same things as us: creating more, and consuming less. For the sheer pleasure of making stuff. So we started a craft club! If this sounds like you, join us!!
We set up monthly sessions where we try new things together and we are building a little crafty community on Whatsapp where we share projects and stay in touch. Even if you can’t make this session you can join the group here.
✂️ let’s get together and make silly little crafts for our silly mental health ✨
We have added some Pay What You Can tickets so that we can make the event accessible to as many people as we can, regardless of financial status. If you would like to join but are strapped for cash, just message us on IG! We'd much rather have you there :)
QueerSwap Studio is wheelchair accessible. Tea and coffee are available, and you’re welcome to bring your own snacks or drinks into the studio. Please refrain from bringing nuts or shellfish.
QueerSwap Studio is a non-profit community creative space. All proceeds for this activity go to the facilitators. If you’d like to support QueerSwap Studio, consider becoming a Friend of QueerSwap!
