AceSpaceLdn is a community group for asexual and aromantic spectrum adults to meet, make friends and share experiences.
The picnic is where AceSpaceLdn all begun, so each year on the official date of Central London's pride march, we run a picnic to keep with the tradition bring visibility to asexuality and aromanticism but most important it is a day to spread joy over our identity.
Whether you fit on the ace and aro spectrum you are welcome here, if you don't use labels, or are questioning, partners and allies are also welcome at this event.
If you would like to volunteer to be a friendly face at the event please reach out to us on Instagram or acespaceldn@gmail.com
Garlic Bread
Bring your own garlic bread or BYGOB is just for fun. If you are bringing food, please avoid nuts or seafood in case of allergies. If you are bringing food to share, vegan and gluten free options would be fab.
How to get there:
The What3Words coordinates will be shared nearer the date. The nearest station is Finsbury Park station, this has national rail and tube lines, bus routes also operate close to the park. The picnic spot will be near toilets and there is also a Lidl right next to the park.
Why you need a ticket:
We want to ensure that our numbers stay within what is permitted by park policy.

Please bring something to sit on and water and if it sunny wear suncream. If it rains we will meet at the cafe inside the park and head inside and plan our adventure onwards.

We have provided resources on local london groups, how to find groups in your area and also information on the new flag that is featured in our event posts.
The original asexual flag was designed in 2010 by an Aven member, more information on the history of the original ace flag can be found here: https://aceweek.org/stories/ace-flag-history Over 2025 and 2026, Ashabi (_aceingrace_) led and completed research and designed a new flag. Information relating to the new flag design can be found here: https://www.instagram.com/_aceingrace_ Which flag is best? Both flags represent the community, with colours representing different important aspects of the community. We support and share love for the use of both flags!
