Queer Archi* Social is a meetup for Queer and Trans people working and studying in architecture, landscape, horticulture, and built environment. If you work with the built enviroment in any capacity - this is for you! It’s about carving out space in an industry that can feel isolating, bringing people together to connect, share experiences, and see that we are not alone.
WHEN: 17th June, 6-9pm
WHERE: Nulty Lighting, 246 Westminster Bridge Road London SE1 7PD
Our host for this months Social is Nulty.
Nulty is an award-winning lighting design practice working across architecture, interiors, landscape and public realm projects worldwide. With studios across multiple cities, their work explores how light can shape atmosphere, identity and the experience of space. Founded in London, Nulty has built a reputation for collaborative and people-focused design, working closely with architects, designers and clients to create thoughtful lighting schemes across a range of scales and settings. Their portfolio includes projects such as DIFC Gate Village, Leake Street Arches and Galeries Lafayette, alongside hospitality, retail and public realm projects internationally. Nulty approaches lighting as more than illumination, using it as a tool to create memorable environments and meaningful spatial experiences.
By hosting at different practices, we highlight places doing thoughtful work at a human scale and introduce our community to the actual people behind the projects. Hosting us is an act of allyship and care.
Our hosts will introduce their practice and showcase projects, ainvite us into their office and share the space with us for conversation over tea and snacks.
The studio is fully accessible from street level, and guests will have access to a ground-floor WC. If you have any additional access requirements, please message us on @_queerscapes or email info@queerscapes.com
