We had a great fundraiser in April and are bringing the band back together. ORQUESTA ESTELAR the Cuban Big Band, will be performing again. Before that, we are fortunate to be joined by DCubanSchool super star salsa teacher Daren Allen who will teach us some salsa moves. We are honoured to be joined by representatives of the Cuban Embassy who will update us on the effects of the US oil blockade. finally we are happy to announce a set by by trombonist and DJ AUKA.
All money raised at the fundraiser will go to delivering critical aid to Cuba. Please consider making a donation.
As the United States escalates threats against Cuba, imposes a total fuel blockade, and stops goods from entering the island, we are purchasing urgently needed medical supplies and solar-powered equipment to be taken to Cuba in August. These materials will be delivered in person to hospitals, schools, and other centres.
