We're screening the Portugal x Congo Match at Love Affair Basement.
True to our Portuguese roots, we'll be making francesinhas as a special meal for the night!
The notoriously decadent francesinha is a mega sandwich with layers of cured ham, juicy linguiça, and layers of steak topped with melted cheese. Add to this a deep, brick-red brew of beer, tomato, brandy, and whisky, slow-reduced until it's rich, smoky, and faintly spicy.
This iconic dish is not an everyday menu item - we reserve it for special occasions, so when we do make it it always required a pre-booking to help with food preparation! Thanks in advance!
