Overview
A four-week series of classes exploring skills & ideas for short-form fiction, aka Flash Fiction. Meet like-minded queer supportive people
You will share ideas for stories, read each other's work to get constructive feedback, and the leaders of the class will give tips about plot, character, atmosphere, style etc.
You will be asked to do some homework, and to share it with the class. Before the first class we are working on the theme Close Encounters, which you can take any way you choose. Please bring your work to the first class on July 6th.
This class is not about presenting fully-formed stories, but developing drafts. Stories aren't written, they're rewritten. There's no expectations on you, except to take part in the classes. We're all in it together.
Please bring writing materials.
The class is in the upstairs room of the pub (steep stairs, I'm afraid.) Some of us stick around for a drink afterwards. (Class finishes at 8pm.) It's a dog-friendly environment.
