After a short break, Lost Signal Cinema Club returns to Burrito Buoy with a very special double-feature: Chris Smith's cult classic documentary American Movie + Mark Borchardt's micro-budget short Coven.
American Movie chronicles the trials and tribulations of aspiring filmmaker Mark Borchardt and his quest to finish Coven (pronounced “koh-ven”), a micro-budget, DIY horror film that he previously abandoned. This documentary is a chaotic, absurd and earnest love letter to DIY filmmaking and outsider cinema.
There will be a special pre-recorded introduction from Mark ahead of the screening and a 15 minute intermission.
Runtime: American Movie 107 mins, Coven 36 mins. Cert: 15.
