Arriving & Registration
The Old Nun’s Head is open to you before the event, so feel free to pop in, grab a drink, get some food and settle in before things kick off.
Registration for speed dating starts strictly at 7pm and closes at 7:30pm.
Please make sure you arrive and register within this window. If you haven't arrived by 7:30pm, you may not be able to participate in the speed dating. This is important as our rounds are carefully organised in advance and we need to get everyone paired up and ready to go.
So: come early, grab a drink, say hello and get yourself settled before the flirting begins. 💘

Our Mingle Ticket is just £5 and will be available HERE or on the door, on a first come, first served basis.
The Mingle Ticket is perfect for anyone who wants to socialise and meet new people, chat and mingle with the crowd, enjoy the pub atmosphere, potentially find a date or two, ORRRR see what the speed dating is all about without committing to the full ticket!! Mingle ticket holders can hang out before, during and after the speed dating, and you'll be part of the whole La Monocle experience. Mingle tickets will not be a part of the speed dating.
So if you wake up on the day thinking "actually... I quite fancy meeting some hot queers tonight" , we've got you covered.
Photography & Video
Photography and social content will be happening at this event.
If you do not want to be photographed, please ask one of our team members for a NO PHOTO wristband when you arrive at the doors. We'll make sure our photographers know to avoid you.
We'll also have our socials team at the event creating video content. Our team will always ask before filming you directly, so please let them know if you don't want to appear in video content.
You may occasionally appear in the background of photographs or videos, particularly in a busy pub environment, but we'll do our best to avoid filming or photographing anyone who has asked not to be included.
