This guided walk offers a space to find grounding, connection, and guidance through engaging with our natural surroundings.
As it's the autumn the walk will focus on engaging with nature to support us through transitions and changes — jobs, identities, relationships, homes, cycles of life, etc.
If you're interested in somatic practices, or curious about how the natural world can support co-regulation, grounding, and navigating change, this walk may be for you.
We'll begin by turning inward with gentle body awareness activities, noticing sensations, breath, feeling tones, and thoughts. From there, we'll slowly expand our attention outward, exploring the interaction between our bodies and the landscape around us.
Through walking, moments of quiet reflection, and gentle somatic practices, we'll explore the dialogue between our inner world and the outer world, and the sources of support, connection, and guidance available to us.
All activities are suggestions, and you're welcome to participate in whatever ways feel safe and nourishing for you.
For getting there, please arrive at 12:20pm at the bandstand in the centre of Ruskin Park (best reached via the Denmark Hill entrance). We will send a map with the bandstand marked on it over email nearer the date. More details on the park are available here. The walk will last for 2 hours and is over flat, paved paths. Please dress warmly for the time of year!

About Queer Minds:
Queer Minds is a peer support group for LGBTQIA+ people (aged 18+) who live, work or play in Lambeth and Southwark. This group is by us, for us and is for those who are looking to connect with others and get support for their mental health. We currently run monthly an online peer support group, two in-person peer support groups, a trans drop-in group, and various workshops and activities with partner organisations. You can find more information about the group on the Queer Minds website: selmind.org.uk/queerminds or Instagram @queermindslondon.
