Looking for studio space in Wimbledon? Join us for the first ever SET Wimbledon Open Day on Saturday 14 November. You'll be able to view available studios, book a guided walkthrough, find out about membership, and speak to our team about reserving a space. It's also a chance to meet artists already based at SET and other people looking for workspace - you might even find someone to share a studio with.
Based in the former offices of St George's House East, directly opposite Wimbledon Station, SET Wimbledon is a 30,000 sq ft arts centre with artists' studios, shared spaces and a rooftop garden. We'll be opening up a selection of available studios for viewings, alongside some member studios, where you can meet the artists, hear what it's like to be part of SET.
Much of SET's work and community have largely grown out of South East London, where we've spent years supporting artists and communities through genuinely affordable artist studio centres and programming. As we open our newest centre in Wimbledon, we'd like to introduce ourselves to the area, meet the artists and organisations already based here, and get to know the local arts community.
Whether you're looking for a studio, live or work in Merton, are involved in a local cultural or community organisation, or are simply curious about SET, we'd love for you to join us. There'll be welcome drinks and refreshments, and plenty of opportunity to explore the building and meet the SET team.
How the day works
11am-2pm | Welcome drinks & drop-in open exploration
Explore the space at your own pace. Some studio members will be opening their doors, so you can meet the artists, learn more about their practice and hear what it's like to be part of the SET Studio community. Our team will also be around to answer any questions about studio memberships and the work we do.
This part of the day is completely drop-in, no booking needed.
1pm-4pm | Bookable guided studio viewings
If you're interested in taking a studio, you can book a 30-minute viewing with our team. We'll take you around the available spaces, talk through sizes and prices, and answer any questions about studio membership, deposits and how things work at SET.

Studios & prices
SET Wimbledon offers some of the most affordable studios across London. Ranging from x-small to medium sized studios, these spaces are suitable for individual artists, shared practices and small collectives:
- X-Small: £170 PCM (<76-117 sq ft)
- Small: £170 - £318 PCM (117-219 sq ft)
- Medium: £421 - £680 PCM (290-469 sq ft)
All studios are priced at £1.45 per sq ft PCM, inclusive of rates and utilities.
Reserving a studio on the day
If you find somewhere you like, our studio team will be there to talk you through the next steps. Studios are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis and can only be held once a one-month deposit has been paid.
Monthly studio payments are separate from the deposit and begin from your move-in date.
Any reservation is also subject to your proposed use of the studio meeting SET's health and safety and insurance requirements. This means that, for safety and insurance reasons, some activities aren’t permitted, including public events, hot works, live/amplified music without soundproofing, spray painting, tattooing, beauty treatments, or commercial client-facing activities.

We're directly opposite Wimbledon Station, so we're easy to find!
By train: Direct trains run from London Waterloo to Wimbledon, taking approximately 17 minutes.
By Underground: Take the District Line to Wimbledon. The station is just across the road from us.
By tram: Wimbledon is the final stop on Tramlink, with direct connections from Croydon and surrounding areas.
By bus: Several routes stop in Wimbledon town centre, including the 57, 93, 131, 163, 164, 200, 219 and 493.
By car: There are public car parks in Wimbledon town centre.
