VFD is a safe space for all and run by a QTIPOC crew we will not tolerate discrimination or hate of any
kind.
We are building this event with Mexican company ‘Gented De Mezcal’ and members of the queer Mexican and LatinX family based in the UK who miss their families, cultures and homelands.
On our Day of the Dead Celebrations, we honour members of our LGBTQI+ family who have passed. We welcome them back, to let them know that they are loved and not forgotten.
With COVID impacting all of us, we also want to reflect on the momentous times that we have all passed through and the ones who have passed.
You are invited to bring images of loved ones you want to honour, tokens, candles and keeps sakes to add to our shrines. The shires will be at the front of VFD and will be up the evening of the 30th, the 31st and the morning of the 1st.
Let's Celebrate, Renew, Reflect and give thanks to those who have guided our journey's so far.

We say YES TO ...

We are working with Mexican owned Sirena imports and their product Gented De Mezcal ... harvested from renewable crops and processed by families with traditional knowledge. The Mezcal is bottled and then shipped under sail on a carbon-neutral journey to Europe. Sirena takes its names from the bewitching and glamourous sea witches who lured the handsome and strong to their sanguineous and deliciously soggy end.
