After a delightfully and quite honestly surprisingly successful debut, Miss Ellaneous is coming back to VFD and this time it’s personal. The first show brought you marvels, mayhem and magic and this time round expect even more of the most exciting misfits London has to offer.
Miss Ellaneous is a cabaret night dedicated to all those who don’t comfortably fit into any particular box. Prepare yourself for the most wonderful and least definable performances provided by a bevy of not-quite-drag-kings, sort-of-clowns, film-makers-I-guess?, unspoken-word-artists and everything in between and beyond. A riotous, anticompetitive, beautiful shit-show hosted and produced by (future) legends of live performance and your new mums – Frankie Thompson and Charlie Wood. This is a space where the only limitations are our imaginations (and a fairly low ceiling).
You can look forward to:
A feminist juggling bear
Gay nonsense
The Punishment of Susan
Susan will be punished
She knows what she did
Worm choir
The ironic reanimation of Boris Karloff
Live painting (wet and dangerous)
Covers of future showtunes
Paul!
Bad impressions of prominent liberal democrats
Susan's address and personal details will be published online
Susan's address and personal details will be published in a leather bound volume of novels which you can access in the gift bags which will be variously dispersed throughout the evening
The teletubbies were invited but declined. We didn't want them there anyway. Weird mutant bastards.
All of the above (or none of it)
The first Miss Ellaneous was pretty special and you are not going to want to miss the return because art is important and you might get a free potato. ALSO Miss Ellaneous, has entered into it's second stage of ongoing, liminal metamorphosis, peaking it's tweenage head out of the cocoon to see how it fares as a CLUB NIGHT. We have gathered our thoughts on this and thus concluded:
1) how did this happen
b) how do we do that
$) what actually is a 'club night'? is just dancing? we hope yes :)
Hosted by acclaimed interdisciplinary artist, contemporary philosopher and second runner up in NADC 2021, Charlie Wood.
With interruptions from emerging idiot/aspiring biologist Frankie Thompson
