On Thursday November 28th prepare to gorge on a delicious night of enriching cabaret and a giant slice of edutainment!
This ‘Feast On THIS’ special edition King & Caboodle Cabaret will be our last one for a wee while and is cooked up in collaboration with Glasgow-based drag king of Black and Native American heritage known for weaving political protest into mesmerising performances - the one and only Mx Arrow Jackson! So, get your tickets now to avoid disappointment!
As the show date falls on American Thanksgiving, a holiday that celebrates colonisation and the erasure of culture, Arrow will be serving a satisfyingly anti-Thanksgiving platter celebrating the diverse talents of performers of colour and dishing out a perfectly spiced menu of alternative drag, burlesque, and comedy with a palatable pinch of ‘F*ck you!’ 😄
Come for the challenge, stay for the entertainment, leave enlightened and uplifted [we promise!]
Hosted by Mx Arrow Jackson and STARRING…
✨Deeva D - International ‘Bearlesque’ icon, performer with London-based queer pan-Asian cabaret collective, The Bitten Peach, and self-proclaimed ‘ultimate variety meal’ brings you sultry, spice and everything nice
✨Ajax Off - Glasgow's bard for the ages [but not for all ages] and poet laureate of the Scottish drag king scene
✨Kinz Luiz - Nigerian-Italian comedian, actor, writer, composer, content creator, and entrepreneur from Easterhouse, Glasgow, on a mission to put West African-influenced live entertainment in the spotlight
✨Hagi - Mongolian non-binary performance artist, Hagi, invites you to connect to their nomadic heritage; as layers - both physical and symbolic - are shed, they explore their own identity through traditional gender norms embedded in folk dance
and (squee…!)
✨Tanaka - He’s black and he’s proud and he’s back to push those gender stereotypes and show you a different side of the African man; with his name derived from the Shona word meaning ‘we are good’, we cannot wait for the return of this iconic Glasgow drag king from Zimbabwe!
