✨🔮Creatives Club provides workshops and nurturing spaces for creatives. Our aim is to foster creativity and vulnerability, and to foster community.
🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️We are curating a warm, non-judgemental, inclusive space, where queer, neurodivergent, and disabled creatives are particularly welcome.
What happens at this event?
This is a FREE online space (via Google Meets) which you can join in order to motivate yourself to get stuff done in the company of others.
If you’d like a body doubling session from the comfort of your own home, feel free to join.
Work on a project, do some admin, write a poem, study, pick up a paintbrush, clean your house - anything goes 💗
I (Laurie) will online working on my own projects/studies and would love the company!
Logistics wise:
- Please arrive on time and no later than 5 mins after the start of the session.
- Introduce yourself when you join the space either by unmuting yourself or writing in the chat box. You don't have to interact with anyone verbally during the session if you don't want to, but you are welcome to say a proper hello if you'd like.
- I'd like to encourage people to keep their cameras on, so we all reap the benefits of the (virtual) presence of others. It's not about showing up perfectly - bedhair, PJs, making tea in the kitchen and awkward camera angles are okay.
- I'll be leading the sessions by initiating a few check ins throughout the hour, so there will be occasional chatter and connection, but this is a space to get stuff done rather than talk.
What the heck is body doubling?
Body doubling is basically the act doing something in the presence of another person to help with motivation, focus, and even regulation.
A lot of people find this useful, but neurodivergent people, especially ADHD-ers, tend to find it especially beneficial.

Creatives Club events
Look out for future online co-working sessions if they are your jam ✨ My plan is have at least one session per week in future!
We're also running workshops for creatives: our next one on June 15th is about ‘Cultivating Hope and Feeling Our Rage [in a messed up world]'.
We'll be discussing what it's like to exist and create in the world that we live in, creating from those emotions, and then turning all this into zine pages which will form a collective zine published on the Creatives Club platform. I CAN'T wait to meet you all and create together.
In future we also hope to organise workshops where creatives can work on/workshop their own projects, as well as more opportunities to create work as part of collective zines for Creatives Club.
This is a space FOR YOU, and we want it to evolve to meet your needs, so let us know what you're needing in your creative practice!
Event Organiser
Hi there, my name is Laurie and I'm the founder of Creatives Club. I love empowering creatives to tell stories and have made a career out of it. I have fifteen years of experience in TV drama & comedy development as well as story producing.
I get things done - with curiosity, kindness, and passion.
As a neurodivergent, queer woman with c-ptsd, I feel incredibly strongly about making space for the authenticity of people's lived experiences and emotions. I also run a social called Big Feelings Club, aimed at building community and fostering vulnerability in ENM communities.
Most recently, I have expanded into creative coaching, and working with people with big feelings who are keen to make their project a reality and would like support in bringing their vision to life and to turn their vulnerability into their superpower.
