The People in the Piehouse – A People’s Letters Fundraiser
🗓 Thursday 22nd November
📍 Piehouse Co-op, London, 213-214 Edward Pl, London SE8 5HD
⏱️ 6:30pm-10pm
🎟 £15 solidarity / £10 general admission / £5 unwaged
(No one turned away for lack of funds)
Join us for a night of the weird and the wonderful at Piehouse, an evening full of poetry, music, drag, flash tattoos, raffles. Expect expressive performances, tender chaos and beautiful connections.
This event is a fundraiser for The People’s Letters, a new worker-led bookshop and community space in Bethnal Green.
📚 We were born from the ashes of union-busting, formed by ex-employees of The Scarlett Letters, now building a worker-owned cooperative focused on solidarity.
All funds raised from this event will go toward building this space, which includes:
- Harm reduction supplies & outreach materials
 - Paying team leads & supporting volunteers
 - Rent for our new premises
 - Accessibility upgrades
 - Food & travel support for community town halls

What to expect:
🎤 Poetry
🎸 Live music & drag
🎟 Raffle (£2 for 1 ticket / £15 for 10)
🖋 Flash tattoos

Line-up TBC, keep your eyes peeled!
