For Aromantic Awareness week (aro week) join us to have conversations about what it means to be Aromantic. We welcome those on the Aromatic spectrum to come and share their experiences, we also invite our Ace-spec community to show support and extend the space to allies looking to learn more about the community providing they are respectful and do not speak over those sharing their experience.
Please note: once you arrive ask to go to the community basement. One of the AceSpaceLDN team should be waiting near the entrance to guide people to the space. Look out for a purple lanyard. It will be either Gaby or Rhys!
Safe space:
AceSpaceLDN has zero tolerance towards discrimination of any kind including; ableism, racism, homophobia, transphobia, ace-arophobia etc.
Accessibility:
This venue is accessible but we have not yet tested the ramp access for the front steps. To use the lift, please ask the venue and they will turn on the lift for you. Please let us know if you require wheelchair access. We apologise for this and continue to be on the hunt for more accessible venues with free community hire.
Neurodivergent Accessibility:
We recommend, you bring earphones or headphones to help with noise sensitivities, as we are in a small space. When we are all talking it may get loud. The wider parts of the venue are also busy and quite loud as well.
Financial Accessibility:
This event is free to attend. It is located in the basement of Mercato. On the first floor there are various food and drink stall that are optional to purchase. We have small portion of funds raised from last year that can be used to support those wishing to attend be it travel or other.
COVID:
Please do not attend the event if you are not feeling well or have symptoms of a cold. Please be responsible and mask and test where possible.
