Three-part live online course
This is a practical introduction to hypnosis. Fully LGBTQ+ affirming and kink aware throughout.
By the end of this course, you’ll understand how hypnosis works in practice and be able to guide and experience simple hypnosis sessions safely with others and started to explore how you can use it to help people, or to play.
It’s hands-on, participatory, and focused on understanding how hypnosis actually works — not just in theory, but by doing it.
Some go on to use hypnosis in everyday life, personal development, or playful contexts. Others are simply curious and want to understand what hypnosis is and isn’t, from the inside.
What this course is (and isn’t)
This course is:
- a practical introduction to hypnosis
- live, interactive, and practice-based
- focused on safety, consent, and clarity
- kink-aware, without being kink-focused
It is not:
- hypnotherapy training
- therapy or a healing space
- a qualification or certification
- stage or performance hypnosis
- a play party or a kink skills workshop
Kink-aware, not a play space
This course is taught in a kink-aware way.
That means:
- kink, fetish, and power dynamics are not treated as taboo or awkward
- examples and discussions don’t shy away from how hypnosis might be used in kink or erotic contexts
- we talk openly about how hypnotic techniques and visualisations could be adapted or honed for a kink audience
What it doesn’t mean:
- you won’t be taught “how to do kink hypnosis”
- there’s no sexual content, roleplay, or play during the course
- arousal is not the goal
- this is not a scene, a pickup space, or a place to negotiate play
People remain clothed and grounded throughout.
The focus stays on understanding the hypnosis container, consent, and application — not on doing kink.
Who this is for
This course is a good fit if:
- you’re curious about hypnosis and want to understand it through experience
- you’re willing to practise with others, not just watch or listen
- you’re comfortable being both the person guiding hypnosis and the person experiencing it
- you want a kink-aware environment without it becoming a play space
If you’re looking for therapy, hypnotherapy training, sexual content, or advanced hypnotic techniques, this won’t be the right course.
What we’ll cover
Across the three sessions, you’ll learn and practise:
- what hypnosis and trance are (and what they aren’t)
- the basic structure of a hypnosis session
- guiding and experiencing simple inductions and awakenings
- using voice, attention, and imagination intentionally
- working with direct and indirect suggestion
- using imagery and metaphor
- discussing how visualisations can be adapted for different contexts, including kink
- practising hypnosis safely and ethically with others
This isn’t about memorising scripts.
It’s about understanding the container and learning how to work within it.
How the course is structured
The course runs over three live online sessions.
Part 1 – Foundations and the hypnosis container
What hypnosis is, consent and safety, experiencing trance.
Part 2 – Guiding hypnosis and using suggestion
Inductions, deepening, voice, pacing, and suggestion.
Part 3 – Doing work in trance
Imagery and metaphor, paired practice, questions.
Each session includes explanation, demonstration, and practice.
How this works online
This is a live, participatory course.
- Sessions run on Zoom
- Cameras on throughout
- Everyone is expected to practise both guiding hypnosis and being guided
- Practice takes place in breakout rooms, usually in pairs
- Clear consent and opt-out norms are used throughout
- Online safety is built in
- No special equipment is needed
If you’re looking for something you can attend passively with your camera off, this isn’t that.
Experience level
No prior experience of hypnosis is required.
If you’ve encountered hypnosis before, this can also work well as a refresher.
You don’t need to be confident or skilled — just willing to take part.
Standalone course (with an optional next step)
This course is complete in itself.
You don’t need to take anything else for it to be valuable.
Some people choose to go on to a deeper, in-person practice day later in the summer. That’s optional, not expected.
If you book this course and later decide to attend the in-person day on 11 July, you’ll receive 20% off that event.
Details are provided after booking.
