Every hot flush can feel like your body is working against you — let’s bring back comfort, calm, and ease.
Hot flushes are one of the most common symptoms of peri menopause and menopause, ranging from a gentle warmth to intense, overwhelming waves of heat. They can disrupt sleep, affect work, and chip away at confidence. Alongside these physical changes, emotional “heat” is also common—sudden irritability, tears, or mood swings can feel confusing, intense, or even frightening.
This nurturing menopause yoga workshop, is designed to help you understand what’s happening in your body during menopause, uncover the triggers behind hot flushes and heightened emotions, and explore calming practices to restore balance You will explore gentle, holistic approach to menopause via menopause-informed yoga, breathwork, and relaxation techniques, alongside holistic insights from Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine. Learn practical tools to cool your body, soothe emotional overwhelm, and reconnect with your inner balance — leaving you feeling grounded, empowered, and at home in your changing body.
The structure of the workshop includes:
o A supportive women’s circle for connection and sharing
o Breathwork and intention
o Theory and latest research about hot flashes;
o Movement/Asanas, slow, simple vinyasa flow, restorative yoga.
o Guided meditation
o Self-reflection or Journaling
o Relaxation with soothing sound bath.
At the end of the workshop handouts, the information on the menopause and associated symptoms hot flashes, information about Ayurvedic Principles, vitamins, supplements and natural remedies, nutrition and recipes for menopause will be shared.
The workshop also offers a safe, supportive space for women and menopausal people to connect, share experiences, laugh, and learn from one another. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced yoga student, you will feel welcome and supported.
Note on Equipment: Bolsters, yoga mats, yoga straps, and yoga blocks will be provided to support comfort and accessibility throughout the workshop. You are very welcome to bring your own yoga mat if you prefer. For the sound bath at the end, please bring a blanket if you can to help you stay warm and comfortable during relaxation.

Tahmina Hakimova-Rees is a qualified Menopause Yoga Teacher and founder of Breathe.Move.Heal CIC, offering compassionate yoga and wellbeing practices for women navigating perimenopause, menopause, and post-menopause. With over 20 years of personal yoga practice, Tahmina supports menopause as a profound life transition — physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual.
Her teaching draws on Hatha Yoga, Vinyasa, Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Somatic Yoga, Qigong, and Grief Movement, recognising menopause as a time that can awaken experiences of grief, loss, identity shifts, and emotional release. Tahmina approaches menopause through a grief-informed lens, creating space to honour what is changing or being left behind, while gently guiding women toward renewal, strength, and self-trust.
Her holistic work integrates Menopause Yoga® principles, breath-led movement, sound therapy, mindfulness and emotional regulation tools, trauma-aware nervous system support, and insights from Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine.
