Join Ghetto Fabulous and Andro & Eve for more fabulous queer dance workshops for all abilities, helping you strut, dance and pose. For ages 18+.
Come along to get ready to take to the runway at Andro & Eve’s Reyt Queer Extravaganza - a queer live performance event on 8 May. Covering different queer dance styles, like vogue and street dance, these workshops will build your confidence and performance skills.
This workshop series will build on material covered each week so by week 3, participants will have a collective performance ready to perform together at Reyt Queer Extravaganza. You do not need to have attended our Feeling Fabulous workshops in March, or have previous experience, but ideally you can commit to all 3 sessions.
If you want to perform in the Extravaganza you must be able to attend the final session on 5 May.
We recommend wearing loose, comfortable clothing, (trousers) and trainers or flat shoes.
Footwear: Heels or boots are not appropriate footwear for the dance studio we are using for these sessions.
Access: This event is held in a city centre venue with step free access (via a side door). Gender neutral and accessible toilet available. Masking is welcome, and we clean the air using a HEPA filter. Specific COVID guidance is below.
If you have any other access requests or need further information please complete our Access Form online.
Tickets: Please book for each workshop individually. Thanks to funding we are able to offer these workshops for free.
If you’d like to make a donation to support the work of Andro and Eve, you can buy a Solidarity ticket, or add a ‘donation’ to your booking. All donations help us provide free and cheaper tickets to those who need them at future events. We give free tickets to refugees for all our events through our partners.
We take precautions to manage the risk of COVID-19
We welcome the wearing of masks if that feels comfortable for you. We limit capacity to manage air quality and will make use of a HEPA air filter. Hand sanitiser is provided. We will enable a waiting list for this event in order that spare tickets can be released for those self isolating.
We would ask that you help us care for our community by not attending if you have any cold, flu or Covid symptoms or have been in close contact with someone who has tested positive for Covid-19.
If you are sick, please let us know so we know how many people to expect and to enable someone else to take your place.
Safer Spaces: Andro and Eve operates a safer spaces policy. By booking a ticket to these events you agree to follow the practices outlined. Find out more here.
For more information see our FAQ's.
Photography
We will document the workshops through photographs. If for whatever reason you do not wish to be photographed, please let one of the Andro and Eve team know and we'll make sure you are kept out of photos.
We ask that you do not take photos of anyone you do not know. Further guidance can be found in our Safer Spaces policy.
