This session is an invitation to spend time in the studio with Liz Strange as part of her residency. Rather than sharing movement material, Liz will open up her ongoing explorations around rest, energy, and movement. Together, participants will be invited to gently explore the space between rest and movement, tuning into the body’s shifting needs, desires, and capacities. The session may include body awareness exercises, gentle movement, rest and optional shared reflection.
The pace will be slow and responsive, with rest always available. Participants are welcome to engage in ways that feel right for them, including stepping back, lying down, or simply observing.
Who it’s for
This session is for people with experience of burnout, energy-limiting conditions and/or chronic illness. It is intended as a supportive, understanding space shaped by shared or resonant lived experience.
Access & content notes
This is a low-intensity, rest-oriented session. Movement is optional and can range from stillness to very gentle or small actions. There will be no expectation of physical contact.
The workshop centres experiences of fatigue, burnout, and fluctuating capacity. Participants are invited to take care of themselves and participate as little or as much as feels right. Rest, pauses, and leaving the space temporarily are all welcome.
What to bring + wear
Please wear comfortable clothing suitable for rest and gentle movement. You may wish to bring anything that helps you feel at ease (e.g. a blanket, cushion, or personal comfort item).
