Details

What is it?

This is a low-key, low-stakes way to connect with other men in a trans-inclusive space.
In this session, we will strip down to our underwear and stretch our bodies (you can wear whatever underwear you want - whatever you're comfortable in).
There will be solo poses as well as plenty of partner work.
You don't have to be super-flexible to join this session - whether you're a complete beginner or more experienced, each stretch can be tailored to what you can do.
Yoga mats are provided.

Who attends these events?

This is an event designed for men. This is in compliance with the relevant anti-discrimination legislation as the purpose of this event is to support the wellbeing of men through the building of community and connection.
This event is a trans-inclusive space. For the purposes of this event, our definition of “men” includes trans men. If that causes a problem for you, please do not attend.
If you identify as a CIS man, you are welcome to attend this event as long as you understand and respect that this event is a trans-inclusive space.

Does anything happen beyond just stretching together?

This is not a sex party - it's a stretch session. There will be body-to-body contact during the partner work, but everyone's underwear stays on.
The session is a great opportunity to experience the benefits of stretching and physical touch while connecting with a welcoming community of men that is trans-inclusive.
Everyone's boundaries will be respected.

Why are we running this event?

We've heard from Trans men that there is a need for body-positive spaces that are trans-inclusive - to help people connect and access the physical contact that we all need.
This is a trial event so we're really keen to hear feedback on this specific event and other events that might be welcomed by Trans men.
Once delivered, we'll review this event and release a schedule of future events tailored to Trans men.

Does this mean that all Naked Men Talking events are now Trans inclusive?

Recent changes in how the UK's equality legislation is interpreted and applied makes everything a bit more complex from an event management perspective.
In the short term, we're testing out some explicitly trans-inclusive events to enable us to provide a safe space for trans men. We ask that trans men prioritise attending events marked as trans-inclusive at this time to manage expectations.
We'll continue to review this as our event schedule develops and in consultation with our community.
