Got a cosplay to finish before Comic Con? Come hang out at our Cosplay Lab!
We're opening the studio for a series of casual maker sessions where you can work on your cosplay, use our tools and materials, and meet other local cosplayers. Whether you're sewing a cape, painting props, crocheting accessories, making armour from cardboard, or just trying to figure out how to attach that one awkward piece, you're welcome here.
Our studio is packed with secondhand and salvaged creative supplies, so there's plenty to work with. We'll have fabric, paints, paper craft supplies, embroidery bits, sewing machines, a serger, lino tools, crochet hooks, and lots of other materials and equipment available to use. It's a great chance to make something awesome while giving materials a second life, and meet fellow cosplayers who are working on their own projects.
These are open studio sessions rather than taught workshops, so bring your own project and work at your own pace. If you need inspiration, want to bounce ideas around, or fancy chatting with other makers while you work, even better.
Whether this is your first cosplay or your fiftieth, we'd love to have you.
Bring your project, grab a cuppa, and let's get you con-ready!
QueerSwap is a non-profit community interest company; all proceeds for this event will go towards the operating costs of our studio and events. Tickets are pay-what-you-can; with a recommended donation of £10 or more for those who can afford it.
