🎃 This Halloween, we’re getting crafty with masks, headpieces, gems, glitter, feathers, wire, and anything spooky we can get our silly little hands on 🎭✨
We’ll provide blank masks and headbands that you can use as a base for you to transform into whatever your Halloween alter ego is calling for. Think glamorous masquerade, woodland creature, gothic queen, creepy little monster, disco demon, over-the-top drag fantasy... or something we haven’t thought of yet!
We’ll have a ridiculous selection of crafty materials for you to play with, including gems, feathers, ribbons, flowers, crepe paper, wire, and all sorts of other bits and bobs, plus plenty of inspiration and moodboards to get the ideas flowing. And if you already have a very specific vision in your head? tell us about it! 👀
If there’s something particular you want to make, let us know when you book, and we’ll see if we can source any specific materials you might need. Then, on the night, we’ll help you figure out how to actually turn the weird thing you've imagined into something you can wear on Halloween!
💥 The manifesto:
✂️ create more, consume less: make your own Halloween costume rather than panic-buying something you'll wear once.
✂️ no rules: make it beautiful, funny, ridiculous, creepy, camp, chaotic, or all of the above.
✂️ ditch the screen: put down the black rectangle of doom and feel human again by making things with your hands.
🌈 the vibe & what to expect: a cozy, screen-free evening full of Halloween crafting, surrounded by creative, queer, chaotic people and a table full of supplies, while chatting and making new friends you'll actually have a chance to regularly see again 🫶 you can come with a fully formed vision and spend the whole evening bringing it to life, or turn up with absolutely no idea what you want to make and let the materials and moodboards do the talking, and of course, you’ll take home all your creations at the end of the night 🛍️
🪓 The anti-workshop philosophy: this isn’t a classroom, and we are not your teachers. There is no right or wrong way to make your mask or headpiece, and absolutely no pressure for it to look "perfect." Perfection is fake anyway.
we’ll be around to show you how different materials and techniques work, help you problem-solve your ideas, and provide inspiration if you're staring at a blank mask wondering what the hell to do with it, but ultimately, this is your creation.
Experiment, make a mess, stick things together, take them apart, change your mind, try something completely unhinged and see where it takes you. ✂️
Let’s get together and make silly little crafts for our silly mental health ✨ We have added some chip-in tickets so that we can make the event accessible to as many people as we can, regardless of financial status. If you would like to join but are strapped for cash, just message us on IG or email us! We'd much rather have you there :)
