After six incredible years of building community in Shoreditch, we're opening the doors to the next chapter of The Common Press in North London.
Join us for the Official Launch Party of our new 250 capacity Dalston venue on Friday 24th July from 7pm - 1am. Free entry & RSVP.
As queer spaces continue to disappear across the UK, creating and protecting spaces where our communities can gather, organise, celebrate and simply exist has never been more important. This new venue is our commitment to the future: a space built by community, for community.
Like our Shoreditch bookshop, our Dalston home is proudly Black Queer and Trans led. The Common Press Dalston will be a new home for queer literature, arts, culture and community.
Across two floors you'll find an independent bookshop, café, bar, performance space and a year round programme of author talks, live music, exhibitions, workshops, screenings, club nights and family friendly plus community events. We centre and amplify LGBTQIA+ voices, especially those too often overlooked.
Opening our Dalston venue is an important step towards building a more sustainable future for independent queer spaces. By growing The Common Press, we’re forming models and investing in places where our communities can learn, create, organise and belong for generations to come.
Whether you've been with us since day one or you're discovering The Common Press for the first time, you are welcome to the launch party.
Celebrate a new chapter for one of London's most loved independent queer spaces. Meet the community, team, explore the new venue, dance with us into the night and help us prove that queer spaces don't just survive, they thrive when we build them together.
