all about Naked Boys Reading: Curated by Alan Hollinghurst

Naked Boys Reading is the perfect intimate monthly live event: a literary salon featuring in-the-buff readings by local beefcakes, bears, twinks, otters, butch femmes, sissy sluts, boys next door with an exhibitionist streak and lovers of naturism with a well-endowed library.

LGBT+ queer art and culture is alive, vibrant and varied - both on the fringe and in more mainstream form and venues all over town. The scene covers a wide spectrum including LGBT+ theatre, new work and revivals showcased at pub theatres fringe locations, to larger established venues and at festivals and Prides, nationwide.

There are crazy queer sketch shows, open mic nights, stand up and Drag (we all love a fab lipsync). Tickets for many plays and performances, including the ever popular Naked Boys Reading are in high demand, so booking early in advance, is essential. On film, we have monthly curated screenings of Queer cinema classics as well as other festivals to watch out for. There are a number of LGBT+ classical orchestras, both symphonic and chamber; LGBT+ choirs and LGBT dance – as well as jazz, Big Band and Swing! They programme regular concerts and performances throughout the year.
